Shilpa Shetty IPL Interviews 2010

Posted in Bollywood News by Nurit Shetty on May 2, 2010

With the Indian Premier League (IPL) storm set to bring out and destroy some more big names, Shilpa Shetty decided to clarify that she is the brand ambassador of Rajasthan Royals while her husband Raj Kundra is a stake-holder.
“Woke up and heard on TV that we are not co-owners of Rajasthan Royals. Only want to say there is ‘NO DOUBT’ that RAJ is a stake-holder and I am the Brand ambassador,” the Shetty posted on Twitter.
“This is the truth! Dunno why all this confusion. Will have clarity on a lot of things by tomorrow,” she added in the next tweet.
This statement from the Bollywood actress came in response to the Board of Control for Cricket (BCCI) President Shashank Manohar‘s questions on the ownership of the Rajasthan Royals.
While announcing that Chirayu Amin has been appointed as interim IPL commissioner, Manohar on Monday, Apr 26 said that the names of Shilpa Shetty and her businessman husband Raj Kundra don’t figure in the shareholding papers.
“We are asking Modi, how can he sign an agreement with A when the bid came from B. Modi made a statement that the entire world knows who the shareholders are but the fact is that not even the Governing Council members know about Rajasthan Royals. I did not find the names of Shilpa Shetty and Raj Kundra in the papers and they claim to be stakeholders,” he said.
Among the long list of allegations slapped against Lalit Modi one is in connection with the bid of Rajasthan Royals.
